Demographic projections from the City of Mansfield has the 2007 population at 58,069 and forecasts the population of Mansfield to surpass 69,188 by 2010. An abundance of undeveloped land allows for growth and development to continue. Based on the current land use plan, Mansfield's ultimate population is
estimated to be approximately 134,180.

Of Mansfield’s 38.8 sq. miles, approximately 35% of the City’s land remains to be developed which provides thousands of acres of opportunity for commercial, industrial and residential development to occur.
